Triangle Land & Aveda Institute’s Earth Jam 2010!
These organizations strongly support artists and mother earth. With that in mind I have donated a painting for the silent auction in Earth Jam 2010. Thank you to the Aveda Institute Chapel Hill for believing in my work and supporting local artists!

Aveda Institute Show
Here is a photo from my most recent solo exhibition at The Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill, NC. The show ran thru January 2010. 10 pieces were on display.
New Year, New Direction.
Here is a little sneak peak into a new vision. This work will be one of many in a new 2010 collection. New year, new direction. I have been processing the idea of what it means to heal. How it works. Why some of us never learn how, or choose not to. I have been thinking about pain, sadness, sorrow and the light at the end of these dark tunnels. This body of work has been brewing in my mind for months and here she is. A new journey has begun.
Still from the Show.
Here is an image of my work on The Real World. I was so pleased to see it on the first episode. Here is just one part, where the shows logo and my work meet. Enjoy!
MTV’s The Real World DC paintings
My artwork has officially made its national television debut! MTV’s The Real World DC has three of my paintings in the house. Currently, you can see my work online @ House Tour, http://www.mtv.com/videos/misc/464004/vip-pass.jhtml#id=1628032 . Also, beginning December 30th the show will be airing every Weds night at 10pm.
Supporting Artists.
I have been working a lot with my 1st graders teaching them about sharing, kindness, and not cutting in line.
With that said, these skills that are taught at a early age don’t always stick the way they should in adulthood. I know I have felt alone in the art community, fighting for a little artistic space in the world. I don’t feel I should “fight” for a place in this very broad creative field, but it is what it is.
So to assist with my own need (Selfishness some might call it) to feel a part of a small group of artists who are actually compassionate and LOVE what they do, I have complied a list a wonderful artists, who paint, write, create, everyday. Not because they are trying to be the BEST, they are simply trying to BE.
